Managed service and SaaS specialist e-know.net has announced the launch of ShareHost, a hosting and back-up service for law firms keen to take advantage of Microsoft Sharepoint. ShareHost will be offered on a subscription-based per user, per month pricing model which includes access to a dedicated Sharepoint consulting team and built-in disaster recovery.
The service is designed to appeal to firms of all sizes. While larger practices with Sharepoint know-how in-house are expected to show interest in the business continuity angle, small-to-medium sized firms are likely to be drawn to the simplicity of tapping into what Sharepoint has to offer. ShareHost will enable quick, easy and affordable access to what is ordinarily expensive and complex enterprise software with a full consulting and support team on hand to supply the necessary expertise.
The launch comes at a time when firms are increasingly keen to take advantage of SharePoint’s integrated suite of server capabilities to help improve organisational effectiveness. By adopting the hosted route, users can exploit its comprehensive content management and enterprise search capability, accelerate business processes and facilitate information-sharing across the organisation – without the need for the level of resource or investment demanded by an in-house solution.
Nigel Redwood, e-know.net’s managing director, is delighted with this latest addition to the company’s SaaS offering. “We’re confident that this will have strong appeal across the board, in particular to those firms that had dismissed SharePoint on grounds of cost and complexity. By using the SaaS model, we can give them the means to access and leverage a technology that they may otherwise have missed out on, creating a more level playing field and helping secure business advantage.”
