e-know.net launch new hosted solution for 25-100 user firms

Managed service specialist e-know.net has launched a new hosted solution aimed specifically at small-to-medium sized law firms. As part of an ongoing effort to dispel the notion that managed services are only for larger organisations, e-know.net will now offer eNet as an alternative to traditional in-house IT infrastructure.

Aimed at firms of between 25-100 users, the basic per user per month pricing model allows for the hosting and management of Microsoft Office, Exchange and Outlook, the client’s choice of practice management system and a BlackBerry server. Additional applications can be added for a small increase in the monthly charges; BlackBerries and Windows mobiles complete with tariffs can also be supplied.

A variant of eNet, to be known as eNet Lite, will be made available to firms of up to 25 users; it is an identical specification bar the omission of the Blackberry server. The eNet base cost starts at £99 per user per month, with eNet Lite priced slightly lower at £95 per user per month.

e-know.net’s managing director, Nigel Redwood, comments: “There’s a misconception amongst many smaller firms that a service like ours is the preserve of bigger firms but it’s just not true. The smaller firm is often the one who has most to gain and we’ve priced the eNet services to make them deliberately affordable and accessible. If you just want to focus on your legal business and not be concerned with supporting and funding an IT department, then fixed, scalable and transparently priced managed services is the optimum route forward. We become your de facto IT department and deliver a secure, resilient system, the very latest software, 24/7 support, in-built business continuity, access to a breath and depth of IT expertise, and complete peace of mind.”

Delivery of the eNet hosted service is over Citrix, with applications and data held at e-know.net’s mirrored data centres.
